Como prevenir a #escoliose?
Seria muito importante ter uma iniciativa do governo federal de rastreamento da escoliose nas escolas de todo o país, como é feito nos países mais evoluídos. Nossa equipe da USP, no trabalho de Doutorado (Publicado na Revista SPINE, uma das mais importantes da área) da professora do Curso de Fisioterapia da PUC-SP Patrícia Jundi Penha, realizou o rastreamento em escolas públicas do estado São Paulo.
Que este estudo pioneiro, seja o começo para uma iniciativa pública de rastreamento da escoliose em todo o país.
Quando é realizado este tipo de trabalho, e a escoliose é descoberta antes da fase de crescimento (tendência a piorar o quadro), pode ser indicado um tratamento adequado (baseado nas evidências científicas - ver post anterior) e o estado acabará gastando menos no futuro, com tratamentos cirúrgicos, afastamentos por dores no futuro!!!! How my spinal condition came to be is quite a sad story and it involves very specific traumas.
I now have PTSD as a result, it's a strange type of PTSD
I know the event that caused it has passed, and it can't happen since that person is distant from me. But, any fast movement or significant pain and it's like I'm reliving those traumatic days again.
I wonder if anyone understands what I mean 💭

Midback Foam Rolling

This mobility exercise is great for if you are sitting for a long period at work or if you are getting shoulder pain with overhead movements.

To perform, lie on your back with the foam roller near the bottom of the rib cage. Cross your arms over your chest and lift your hips off the ground.

Then slowly roll from the base of your rib cage towards the base of your neck.
.
If your head gets tired, you can interlace your hands behind your head to give yourself more support.
.
Generally I recommend 30-60 seconds, but some people will need a little more or a little less depending on their needs.

Hablar de espondilolisis es decir que existe una grieta, fractura o rotura en una vértebra. Como se puede ver en la imagen, estas tienen dos partes: el cuerpo principal y una pequeña "cola" donde se halla la apófisis. Es en esta última, más frágil, que se produce el traumatismo.

Suele generarse en las vértebras lumbares o de la espalda baja (principalmente la cuarta y quinta), y es más probable que afecte a gente joven, especialmente a deportistas que deban extender su columna más de lo normal como es el caso de tenistas, jugadores de voleibol, gimnastas o bailarines de ballet.
Aunque puede desarrollar síntomas que de no tratarse desembocan en dolor crónico de espalda o pérdida de la flexibilidad, también es probable que nunca tenga manifestación alguna. De hecho hay varios casos donde la espondilolisis no se trata de una fractura, sino que el hueso en realidad no alcanza a formarse.
