Have you every done aerial yoga or tried a #yogatrapeze ??? πŸ’œ It’s really fun. It’s ironic to come full circle because I was a bit burned out on my yoga practice a few years back and I took an aerial yoga class I loved so I registered for a training certification class, and loooooved it (especially for all the inversions) and THEN started teaching aerial and decided to get my 200 hr yoga TT and remembered how much I looooved yoga too and started teaching both. So aerial yoga brought me back to my mat!! πŸ’œ I haven’t used #aerialsilks in years but here I am remembering how much fun it is!!! The handles are great for strength and core work (I’ll share later) and it’s awesome for inversions too. Just a lil speedy Thursday morning flowin πŸ’œ! .

TIPS: best prep for me includes... extended #puppypose (tight shoulders), #lowlunge at the wall (works hip flexower quads and triceps), back to wall quad stretch (oad under knee as need and hooooold), working shoulder rotation and heart opening (chest) with my @infinitystrap and lifting heart with a hand on a block (Brix). .

This is a 50 year old spine. This is the result of daily practice and long holds. This is not a naturally bendy spine. These are very tight shoulders. .

There are always two constants that everyone has control over with practice... Your thoughts and your actions. Yoga is connecting your mind with your muscles. You become so in tuned with your body that you feel every subtle connection start to arise and you can begin to have control over yourself. You become mindful in your actions, you recognize the way you move your body and the way you think. It helps you become aware and gives you mentally clarity. In order to hold these poses means focus and realizing complete control is possible with practice. The more I feel like my discipline is slipping in any aspect of my life, the slower my practice in order to challenge myself with a harder hold.

Here's another ab challenger 'the neck pull'πŸ’ͺπŸ’ͺπŸ’ͺπŸ’ͺ
As the name suggests you take the pull from your neck to roll your spine up .
In the beginning you can take the pull from your arms forward while curling up and place em on your forehead as you go back .
Once you become aware of the spinal movement and you feel your abs are ready to take up the challenge , go ahead and glue your back of your hands to forehead while doing g the exercise.. try it to believe it how crazyy it is for your abs.

Make sure that you stabilize the rest of your bodywhile youdo it and not dance your pelvis here n there while getting up or going down .πŸ˜‹
Trust me , to stabilize , in itself is a lotttttt of work .all your muscles work in synergy to perform one single movement that looks "simple"πŸ’ƒ Focus on spinal articulation, again a lot of core control is required in doing that.
