There are always two constants that everyone has control over with practice... Your thoughts and your actions. Yoga is connecting your mind with your muscles. You become so in tuned with your body that you feel every subtle connection start to arise and you can begin to have control over yourself. You become mindful in your actions, you recognize the way you move your body and the way you think. It helps you become aware and gives you mentally clarity. In order to hold these poses means focus and realizing complete control is possible with practice. The more I feel like my discipline is slipping in any aspect of my life, the slower my practice in order to challenge myself with a harder hold.
