Success is slippery!!!! We can lose it as fast as we gain it!

For example: * We can lose 10 lbs. and gain it right back.
* We can pay off our debt and then go right back into debt.
* We can have a strong marriage and then stop dating our spouse and our relationship isn't as strong.

So how do we keep it?

Here's 3 tips that have helped me:

This applies to any goal:

1- Surround yourself with people going for similar goals and keep each other accountable.

2- When you reach a goal, set a new one! We never "arrive" at success.

3- Focus on what you are doing right instead of wrong and keep going forward.

I've seen a lot of success, and I've lost some of it along the way.
I'm setting new goals and reaching higher to become the best wife, mom and leader I can be.

This was the most physically challenging experience of my life. Literally the entire time all I could think was "don't stop moving." I finished strong, ripped pants and physical exhaustion, but I still finished strong. I really thought I'd make it to my sons race at 11, that was a pipe dream but also the reason I moved so quickly through the course, if you can call over 2 hours quick lol. 16 in my age group and 71 out of over 1100 women! #SoProud #SpartanMom #SpartanRace

It's #thriftythursday, y'all!

Since I'm in Seattle spending all day every day in workout clothes, 😉 today I thought I'd give you my tips for saving money on food while traveling.
-
I'm staying in a college dorm room with no access to a fridge or stove for the next two weeks, so I have the choice to eat out or at the cafeteria (which is also expensive!) for every meal, or get creative. 🤔

I got creative. 😉

I trekked to the grocery store with my backpack and got a small styrofoam cooler, some ice, and staple items--spinach and almond milk, and PB2 for my shake for breakfast (tip--bring a cup and an immersion blender to blend your smoothies in the morning, its compact and easy to clean!) some hard-boiled eggs, turkey, hummus, and veggies, then a ton of non-perishable ready-to-eat foods like pouches of salmon, almonds, fruit, and crackers. -

I'm on day 4 and only eaten out for 1 meal, and my body feels great (aside from being bruised and sore from training 😆), plus I'm not stressed about how much I'm spending and I'm in control of the ingredients in my food.

You can do this in any hotel room, just keep changing your ice every day! Makes those dinners out that much more enjoyable. I know I'm looking forward to some hot food this weekend! 😄
