Coming back down to earth 🌏 after meeting Australia’s first astronaut, Dr Paul Scully-Power AM who will lead NSW’s bid to locate Australia’s first space agency in Sydney. So fitting to have historic Sydney Observatory as the backdrop to Premier Gladys Berejiklian & Minister Niall Blair’s announcement today. Although we couldn’t transport it for the announcement we do have on display in our space gallery the shuttle garment worn by Dr P Scully-Power on loan from National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), USA. #space#nasa#spaceagency#astronaut#orbit#spaceshuttle#industry#maasmuseum#sydneyobservatory#astronomy#sydney
STORY: It’s really fun seeing a plan come to life. When I was up here with @tracyleephotos we only got to see the Milky Way get just over the Ridge. I planned this shot when I saw how well the road was visible from this spot. 2 months later I was able to make it happen! Hiked my tracker and new Tokina up about 15 minutes above the summit of loveland pass and set up for a beautiful night. Also, it was nice to meet fellow photographer @austind93 . He was out there before me getting those stars!

If you are planning to photograph the full moon and want to know the precise location where you will see it rising and at what time in your local area, then I've written a blog on how I go about planning my moon shots like this one using @PhotoPills
