Do no harm but take no shit. Tread lightly and speak kindly. Unabashedly love as much of life and people as you can possibly learn to love, it's not easy. And forgive people, at least once. In short, BE A BADASS WITH THE HEART OF AN ANGEL. But wear camo and carry a huge fucking gun for when people mistake that kindness for weakness. Someone will.. Eventually. And if you got a #GlassJaw like me it's easy to stop standing up for yourself when people humiliate you because facial reconstructive surgery sucks forever. People suck, be cool when they don't. Allow yourself to be soft sometimes, it's a huge load off, I'm talking to you combat hardened vets afraid to be caught feeling. You survived with your senses, you earned your fucking emotions, you paid for them with your experience. Why survive if you're ashamed to live and feel?? Cry for your dead brothers, call out your toxic leadership, laugh when you embarrass yourself, let yourself be happy, sad and angry. Be softer than you want to be if you'd like to survive to old age with a shred of your sanity and a few loved ones still around. But don't look soft, look scary as fuck so the cannibals don't wanna stick around for a taste of human flesh if it means tasting your lead too. I'm not saying shoot your friends and enemies. I'm saying forgive them if you can, but look like a porcupine. The ones who matter will know when to ignore scary shit they don't understand that you're wearing on the outside. And stick around to listen to and try to understand the scarier shit you carry inside you.🖕🏻💀 [original content, OC] #DANGER #Dysfunctional #Veteran #Medic #SpaceCowboy #PumpTheBrakes!
