👩🏻🍳 Saturday movie night in the Bathia house tonight.... so I’ve made a few healthy snacks for us to nibble on whilst we watch... first we have some 🥑 guacamole with coriander and green chilli served in an 🥑 bowl with home made ‘nachos’ (aka @fooddoctoruk seeded pitta breads 🥙 cut into triangles brushed with olive oil & herbs 🌿 and baked to crispness in the oven 🙌🏼 )
I hope everyone is having a fun Saturday night safe from storm Brian ☔️ Anyone have any other healthy movie night snack ideas? 💡 🍿 🎬
👩🏻⚕️ 🥑 Avocados are an excellent source of monounsaturated (healthy) fats and vitamin E. They are also a rich source of antioxidant vitamin E, plus carotenes which are thought to help with eye health. Avocados also contain some iron, copper and potassium and are a good source of folate.
The @fooddoctoruk pitta pockets are a fantastic handy snack packed with fibre, multi seed goodness and no nasties 🙌🏼 .
1 ripe avocado 🥑
1 clove of garlic
6 baby tomatoes 🍅
1 green chilli 🌶
handful of coriander 🌿
Juice of 1/2 a lime, salt to taste
Blend/mash all the ingredients together and serve straight away!
Split and cut the pitta into triangle nacho size pieces
Brush with olive oil and mixed herbs 🌿
bake in the oven at 180’ for about 10 minutes until crunchy - dip right into the guacamole and enjoy! 😋
