Our Yoga program focuses on three pillars: recovery, stress reduction, and core-first mobility! We spend a lot of time damaging our bodies through exercise and daily activities (sitting at a computer, lifting kids, boxes, etc). We also spend most of our days stressed at work and at home. We spend very little time focusing on recovery and stress reduction so our ailments and stress compound over time.
The goal of Distance Zero Yoga is make you more mobile and less stressed so you can spend more quality time with your family and doing activities that you enjoy!
As Jiu-Jitsu practitioners, Yoga is important not only for recovery but also to build a strong mind! One of the most important lessons in BJJ is to be comfortable in uncomfortable positions. This requires the ability to relax, breath, and the mental strength to calm your mind when stressed. Distance Zero Yoga will help you with all three of these components!
