SO many of people seem to have a aversion to ideal client exercises. And I get it, because it can feel like you’re limiting your potential, right?
But honestly, that’s not the case. First up - when you’re talking to everyone (you know, just blasting your message out into the big, wide social media void) no one is listening.
Secondly, getting really clear on who your ideal client is and creating a persona isn’t about excluding other people - it’s about giving you someone to talk to, so that you can have a personal, direct, authentic conversation, just like you would with one of your friends. AND it’s then going to inform so many other important aspects of your business promotion - like WHERE you focus your time (which social media platforms, groups, media outlets etc) and WHAT you talk about. I’m going to dive into both of these areas in more detail over the next couple of days in the Getting to the Heart of your Business training.
