Day 1 vs Day 7 of Intermittent Fasting. 🔥
The results seem very subtle just looking at the photos but I have lost 2lbs and 2 inches on my waist in these 7 days!! Of course I also try to eat healthily when possible and still exercise daily or as often as I can. But that mom pooch is HARD TO LOSE..... I feel it’s a little less prominent in the AFTER photo though. 😬
Those who know me know it’s pretty hard for me to lose OR gain weight. I only ever gained weight when I became pregnant and I only ever lost weight when I became UNpregnant haha. So I will take a 2lb loss, especially in a week!
This way of eating fits perfectly into my lifestyle. It can actually fit perfectly into anyone’s lifestyle. For those who don’t know what IF is, it’s just a period of eating. You choose your eating window. I am currently doing the 16/8 split, (16 hours fasting, 8 hours eating) sometimes 17/7, but my plan is to up to 18/6 soon.
I first did IF back shortly after I had Brooklynn. I enjoyed it so much during that time but once I became pregnant with Ben I gave it up and I always said as soon as I was done breastfeeding him that I would start again. So last Saturday I chose to start and I was super excited. I have sooo much more energy, I feel amazing and I have a lot more mental clarity (which is especially important when I’m taking care of two young kids) my fellow moms know that pregnancy brain, and AFTER PREGNANCY brain is so real - This has helped with a lot of that brain fog. My favourite part of this is that isn’t just some fad diet or diet in general. It is actually sustainable and it can actually be helpful for so many other things than just losing a few extra pounds. It can reduce inflammation, help prevent type 2 diabetes, and numerous studies show that it can have powerful benefits for your body and brain. Do some research if you are interested in it.✌🏻
