By the end of #TheGreatUnknowableEnd by @kathsby I was pretty convinced I was a character in the book and a child of the 70s, if you can’t tell from the picture. I fit right in, don’t I? That’s how much this book sucked me in. How are Stella and Galliard not real people? My mind and heart are not computing.
Added to the amazing characters and super 70s vibes, there are creepy and mysterious things happening. Like end of the world things and a countdown that presses everyone to their truest selves. And the characters are flawed. And also so sooo beautiful.
By the end of the book I was so inspired by the love and passions in the book that I felt my heart take courage. As someone who has been a writer in my heart for as long as I can remember and a mother who loves my family fiercely, sometimes finding the balance between my loves and my passion feel like a sacrifice one way or another. This book reminds me that I can have both and yes, there will always be sacrifices on both sides, but that having both in my life make me better and happier.
Thank you for this thrilling story that brought me inspiration, comfort, joy and insight!
