As most of you know I’ve decided to take my passion for fitness to the next level, and pop open the books and get my certification in Personal Training and Nutrition. Well I have a couple friends who are helping me out along the way and have become my Guinea pigs.
My friend Piper Simpson Smith started with me a week ago yesterday. She already had a background in fitness. She has been in and out of the gym over the years and knows a little about nutrition. So with a little extra push and motivation we got her back on track with her workouts and what to eat and when to eat it.
The one main thing she wanted to focus on was her abdominal area. She said she has always struggled with it. So with the right eating habits in place and a good workout routine.... I must say she is right on track to having the abdomen she wants. Look at the difference in just 1 YES 1 week!!! In order to reach her goal of 120 in weight, she need to lose 15lbs. Well in just one week she has lost almost 4lbs. She works out 5 sometimes 7 days a week. We are doing a 3 day split and 2 day cardio. On the other 2 days ( Saturday and Sunday) Piper loves to run. We have to make sure she stays healthy while losing her weight, so I am monitoring her nutrition intake. Without proper nutrition monitoring.... losing more than 2-3lbs a week could turn bad. She is very good about logging her nutrition and keeping in touch with me if she doesn’t reach her goals for the day or if it looks like she will go over her calorie intake.
I am so proud of how dedicated and motivated she is being on her own so far away. Remember I’m in Houston, TX and she is in Rayne, Louisiana, so Being many miles apart and not being side by side with her makes it a challenge because I can’t be there physically but at the rate she is going I think she pushes herself well enough.
