Was mostly alone but I was so glad I had the company of a random young Singaporean boy named Jay who gave me his glove when I lost mine in the forest 😭 gave me heat pack when I was cold and all zipped up and that mini “competitive encouragement” when we caught up with each other during our rests. I thought I couldn’t make it to the summit in time but my 台湾登山队长 (whom I met along the way on Day 1) said I could and so, I did! Really, I wanted to stop at the final 200m and he said 是还有一段距离可是我认为你可以啊，快点！I love climbing so much, it hurts, but that moment when you reach the summit is simply..... PRICELESS! ❤️ I am my own competition - whether or not I reach the summit depends on myself, my body, my mind and no one else. But I have to stress that having like minded people along the way to encourage and help each other is important. That’s pretty much like life right? #kotakinabalu #summitclimb #solitude #onmyown and #thankyoujay cause that pair of gloves was life saving!
