Huge, huge, huge, HUUUUGE moment in our house tonight. Gabe peed on the potty!!! But not only that, he wasn’t just sitting on it and happened to go (like the two, maybe 3 times, I can’t remember, he’s gone before)...he yelled potty, walked to the bathroom, we got him on it and he went!!! Unprompted from us and initiated all on his own!!!👏🏼🙌🏼😱👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼😱😱😱😱 We potty trained Lottie over Christmas 2016 and that’s when we first had Gabe sit on the potty. He’s been sitting on the potty on and off ever since. We’ve all spent hours in the bathroom together. Many, many long hours. He went for the first time in JULY and again a few days later but I’m pretty sure that’s the last time it’s happened. That was right after his got his tonsils and adenoids out and we joke that he was so loopey he didn’t realize what he was doing so it didn’t result in his usual potty-standoff-ultimate-pee-hold (kid can hold it for hours!)😂😂 I don’t think we’ve ever cheered, clapped, and celebrated so hard in this family. I mean, think like Minnesota Miracle Vikings win last weekend cheering! 😂👏🏼Lottie kept yelling “I’m so proud of you, Gabe!!! You did it!!!” 😍
Gabe can and will do things just like any other kid - it just may take him more time. Take your time, little man, it makes the celebrations just that much sweeter!
