It's the holiday season, which means everyone's shopping! It doesn't matter if you're an online shop or purely brick & mortar; this tip is for you.
According to @forbes, "Somewhere between 80-90% of customers now check online reviews prior to making a purchase, and this number is only expected to increase." Make sure you're regularly asking for feedback and reviews from your customers.
You can do this in a number of ways, but here are two quick ideas:
• send a simple feedback survey at the end of your client project
• send a link to leave a review on your Google My Business page
If you send a feedback survey, make sure to ask if you can use any parts of the feedback as a testimonial.
If you get negative feedback, use this as a chance to grow. The negative feedback can be just as valuable as the positive. Even if it's listed online, the way in which you respond to a negative review is proof of your integrity as a business owner.
Having reviews online help in a number of ways, including:
✓ social proof of your abilities
✓ quality of products or services
✓ copy that includes keywords of how you solved a problem
✓ stand out in Google Maps & other directory listings
And sooo many more ways.
The point? Work on getting those reviews!
