This is part of the land that Kakoma Primary School have allocated to establish a food garden. Our project coordinator and resident #permaculture coordinator will be guiding their efforts to design a garden that builds and protects soil, increases biodiversity and provides the 900+ students that attend this school... porridge, fruits and vegetables.
This garden will also serve as a demonstration centre for local farmers to observe agroecology in action and if our previous experience suggests anything... encourage them to adopt these practices in their own farms.
We will be supporting this journey across five years and you can help us make this happen. We are currently fundraising for the first phase of this project and are just $200 short of our goal.
