The remains of the bullet-ridden, and fragmented buildings throughout the streets of Mostar, are a looming reminder of the war that happened here, only twenty some years ago.
The third and the last picture was once a bank, full of workers, but during the war, used as a weapon. With its central location, and strategic views, this seven story building became a sniper tower. Being inside was absolutely chilling and I can only imagine the fear and damage this structure and the people inside inflicted.
The contrast of whole street blocks disintegrating, next to beautifully restored buildings and cobblestone, is shocking, and you really gives you insight on how torn apart and devastated the entire city used to be.
