Stretch or Snap?
Where are you snappy? We all have snapping points. Those places where our patience runs out, temper flares, faith fails. Snapping points are when you get to the end of you and find you have nothing left in reserve. We can emotionally snap. Becoming moody, short with people and weary. We can mentally snap. We can’t get beyond our problem and fail to comprehend any way of change ever happening. We can have a vision snap. We just can’t see a better day or find faith for the future. Our snapping points are the places where we can become immobilized. Just like a tendon that snaps, it reduces capacity and flexibility and can even cause deformity. Spiritually we can also snap and therefore suffer the same incapacity. So here’s a suggestion: where you snap, is indication for where you need to stretch. Stretching increases our flexibility. Stretching adds more room for maneuver. Where you snap, you need a faith stretch. If your snapping in your love, your love needs stretching. If your snapping in your vision, your perspective needs increasing. Stretch comes from taking your snap point into Gods endless unlimited supply. He has more grace for you to discover, more patience, peace, joy, wisdom and supply. You have to start stretching into Him. So here’s a routine for morning stretches. 1. Stretch down into His word which will stretch your knowledge of Him and therefore help you to expand your vision and ask. 2. Stretch up in Worship and adoration which will stretch your belief, trust, thanks as you see His majesty and faithfulness. 3. Stretch out and do something that prevents the snap. Give, love, serve, trust. Add an action that is a stretch in your snap area. It will feel hard at first but it will give new flexibility where your snapping point used to be. Jesus spent a lot of time helping His disciples stretch, here’s a few stretches he gave us all. Love your enemies, forgive 70x7, don’t get weary in doing good, be content in everything, turn the other cheek, ask, seek and knock. He had stretch beyond where our own flesh wants to snap. So stretch or snap? You decide today👊🏻#morningstretches #dontbesnappy #stretchdownupout #snapoutofit
