In treatment this morning a staff and I were talking about books/movies/documentaries related to EDs and which ones we liked or didn't like based on whether or not they were recovery focused or illness-perpetuating. I don't have netflix so she was telling me about this new netflix movie called "To The Bone" and we watched the trailer together. I was wondering if anyone had any opinions on it based on the trailer? I know you can't make a fair judgement based on just the trailer but still. I read somewhere that she had to lose a bunch of weight for the role and I thought that was pretty dumb considering they could've conveyed the same message without having the lead actress become severely underweight. Eating disorders don't have a look, not even anorexia. It's also kind of funny how they make treatment look fun and make it seem like you can find your best friend/love interest there. I've always heard the rule "be friendly, but not friends". I'm trying not to take this too seriously, I just think it's interesting and I don't really know what to think about it.
