Somewhere on the way up to the volcano we had to stop because the bus was overheating. I decided to get out, do some local shit and sit across the road at what I can only assume was a bus stop. Maybe. Possibly a stand for selling things that wasn't being used. I sat there watching the locals go about their business, waving at the ones that took notice at the strange foreigner (me) sitting there that looked like an Indonesian but couldn't be for whatever reason. Not one person I waved at didn't have a huge genuine smile to return to me. This is something I'm not used to. Born and raised in the states, this feeling is very foreign. Being an introvert, it's also a strange feeling being a social person lately. I'm finding that the more I step out of my comfort zone the more I'm living life in every aspect. The more I smile and talk to people, the more I find myself spreading the newfound positive energy I've acquired in the last few years. My journey has truly begun to take shape and I don't have the slightest clue on where Im going but deep inside my soul it feels right and I can only assume it means I'm beginning to know who I am which I'll take anyday over being lost.
