I joined a GetFit challenge through #SNO at #SDSU 8 weeks ago. I was actually given a personalized workout plan- which I am sad and embarrassed I did not follow. However, the one specific thing I chose to work on were planks. I could barely do a 30 second plank. I made it to my goal of successfully completing a 1 minute plank. My shoulders and lower back have been sore every day, my core is not as sore as I feel it should be. I’m not sure if my form is bad or what’s going on- feel free to comment if you have tips for me ⬇️
I am extremely proud of myself- I never thought I would be able to keep myself up that long!
I think my next small goal would be to be able to do 1 complete, real burpee. With good form. I don’t know when I will attempt to start doing this- but it’s brewing in my mind #thatsthefirststep

We were less than halfway through at this point, but honestly the mud felt a part of us already. Unfortunately I lost my socks during Mud Mile which has led to some killer blisters! Worth it though ✌

Anybody else get excited when you put a jacket on that you have had forever and then out of nowhere you raise your arm and bend it to to itch your head and the arm of your sweater gets super tight cause of your bicep!!! I didn't have the best weeks worth of training last week! But that's ok! It's just going to motivate me even more to have a better week this week! .

Don't let a bad day or week set the tone for the new week! Start a fresh, clean slate and set new goals to achieve for the week! I personally find setting my self a small goal to achieve daily really helps me get back on track to my "bigger goals"! If you're struggling with not reaching your fitness goals! Start today with one small change for example "today I'm going to drink x amount of water" or "today I'm going to go for a ten minute walk" etc! These small lifestyle changes will help you along the road to permanent change but won't feel so scary or unachievable as trying all the goals at once!
