This is hands down one of the biggest lessons I’ve learned since embarking on this entrepreneurial journey...
In the beginning I prided myself on my ability to do everything on my own. It’s through watching and learning by example from the coaches and mentors in my life that I realised that I was the bottleneck in my growth.
It quickly dawned on me that being a martyr in my business was costing me.
Of course, there was a huge opportunity cost for our growth, but more than that, it was costing me time, the one thing we don’t get back.
As many of you know, I suffered a second trimester miscarriage around this time last year, and it turned my life upside down. But as traumatic as that period was, what made it easier was knowing that I’d built the infrastructure and the support system in my business to enable me to step away and focus on me for a while.
Now, having those systems in place has enabled me to truly step into my power as a CEO and work on things that truly move the needle and still be left with time to rest and rejuvenate and then bring that energy back into serving the people I do.
So if you’re feeling overwhelmed and stressed doing #allthethings, I see you.
Remember, you’ve done the hard work in creating a product or service that truly makes an impact, trust in that and ask for help. Create systems that work hard for you, move from sheer grit and hustle into strategic mode and know that the $$ will come. The incredible thing about running a business is that there’s no cap on the abundance we can put out into the world and no limit on the abundance available to us too if we allow it...
All of this to say, value your time. It’s the most valuable commodity...
