Went shopping with Henry yesterday and I decided to wander into the Lululemon store. At one point, about 10-11 years ago when I was a size 12 (their largest size), I picked up a pair of pants because they were known to be really comfortable (which they were).
As the years went by, I ranged from size 16-20 and couldn’t fit into my one pair of lululemon pants comfortably or even think of entering the store to look for another size as they no longer had my size at the time.
I went in yesterday and the sales associate goes, “what size are you?” ... I just stood there and went, “I don’t know..” and she’s like, “well, what size are you usually in pants?” to which I responded, “yeah.. I still actually don’t know”. 😂😂 <<For real though, I struggle to know what my size is now that I’m smaller. I can range from a small to a large easy. Clothing companies don’t make it easy and they all use their own sizing charts!!!>>
Anyways, long story short, she hands me a size 6 and when I put them on she went, “umm.. pretty sure you’ll di best in a 4” to which my face was probably like: 😳😳🤔🤨. And lo & behold, I put the size 4’s on and they FIT! It truly boggles my mind that I can go from not fitting any of their sizes.. to fitting one of the smaller sizes.
I remember when I started my journey how I hoped to see a size 10 or 11 one day. I didn’t think a single digit size existed in my future.. I was a double digit size all of my adult life so it seemed unrealistic to think I could be anything smaller than a size 8. And now that it has happened.. I’m just shocked every single time. 😳 I’m even wearing a size 4 blazer at work!!!! Like WHAAAT??!?
