So I’m doing my daily fitness, I’m following a meal plan to break the habit of snacking heavily, nothing earth shattering about any of this really, it’s stuff we all KNOW but don’t always ACT ON. .
This time I’m trying to make small positive changes in all aspects of my life, which are helpful in themselves but also act as constant reminders that I’m on a journey to be the person I want to become. For example, I’ve set up a morning routine that I stick to EVERY SINGLE DAY, not just weekdays but all the time.
I have a daylight lamp that is set to gradually reach full brightness at 7am. Then an alarm sounds on my phone - it plays the theme tune to the Skylanders cartoon because it is SO GODAMNED UPBEAT it sets me up for happiness from the moment I wake.
Then I do my makeup sat in front of a daylight therapy lamp, which really helps me keep SAD at bay. These little choices have become inbuilt to my morning routine and set the tone for each day to help me progress on my path. Does that make sense? .
