I guess we all heard about Bentonite Clay Masks, and how it sucks out the impurities in your face (but not of your soul lol). The Aztec Clay Mask has gotten to be very popular, but to be honest, I never got around to trying it out (cuz ya girl’s too lazy hehe). So when @chrizeaskin told me that they’d be sending me some of their clay masks to try, I was giddy like a kid in a toy store.
They sent me two, but first up for review is the Deep Pore Detox mask which is a mix of Activated Bamboo Charcoal and Bentonite Clay.
▪️this is one of those DIY masks. You have to mix it with water to make a paste and then you slather it on your face. You have to let it sit for about 10-20 mins, I left it for about 30ish minutes (I like breaking rules), but don’t do that if you have sensitive skin.
▪️smells very earthy - which was what I expected since it’s activated charcoal + bentonite clay.
▪️I expected it to tighten as the mask is drying out. I watched it off with water first, and used it to scrub my face (make sure to do it again though with a foamy cleanser because it leaves off a black residue). I loved that it deliver on the first use, I did see that the impurities came out and were ready to be sloughed off. Lol
▪️another thing that I loved is that my face didn’t feel dry at all. It actually felt soft because of the exfoliation.
▪️the only thing that I wanted to comment on (although not a very big deal, since the product works great for me), is the packaging. They kept it really classic - but maybe they can improve it to be more visually appealing. But then again, a very minor detail.
▪️giving this a rating of 4/5 bamboos!! 🎋🎋🎋🎋
*this product was sent to me by @chrizeaskin in exchange of an honest review.
