Day 25 of the #mayskinchallenge - Anti Haul - What I'm Going to Buy
If you haven't had a chance to watch Kimberly Clark's videos on YouTube, you must watch. She advocates being mindful of what you're buying, what you actually need and not falling for the hype. And she's hysterical .
Overtime I've experimented with a lot of different things on my skin. I can many times look at an ingredient list and have a good feeling about whether or not a product will work for my skin. So I have a list of ingredient loves, as well as ones I'm not so crazy about. There's nothing wrong with these, they just don't work for me
🚫 Glycolic - this is a fabulous acid, it's just not one for me. I experience too much sensitivity to it. I've found my skin much prefers lactic and mandelic, as well as salicylic if I'm feeling a little congested or it's in an acid blend 🚫 Hydroquinone - is a skin lightener and has been a gold standard in dermatology for skin lightening. When I first stated tackling my sun damage, I tried a few products with this. I found it made my skin more sensitive and lightened more than just my area of hyperpigmentation. So while this may work for some, it doesn't work for me
🚫 Texture - this includes scrubs or anything that has an inconsistent texture that I have to massage into the skin. .
