I’m still trying to figure this whole social media thing out... fun fact: I hate taking pics of myself alone but I guess do it for the gram right?🤷🏼‍♀️

Lifted upper body today (mostly back) 3 or 4 x 8 preeeetty heavy! I did: lat pulldowns, bent over rows, pull ups, close grip seated rows, and straight arm pulldowns.
Then, I finished with some upper body + core exercises until failure (these👆🏽). If you aren’t big into ab workouts, it’s always a good idea to add just a few minutes of core work at the end every now and then. Extra bonus if you choose exercises that work your targeted muscles simultaneously!

Tuesday Tip: Looking for a flat tummy? First off, remember that just like anything- slimming down or building muscles in your mid-section is hard work and requires consistency. You’ll never get results overnight. That said, there are plenty of things you can do to help you gain strides towards a trimmer tummy.
1️⃣Drink a lot of water—at least half your body weight in ounces each day to keep hydrated and to flush out toxins.
2️⃣Do cardio- but try it fasted. This will help burn fat from your fat stores rather than burn food calories you just consumed. Try integrating fasted cardio 2-3 mornings a week and see how your body changes over traditional cardio exercises.
3️⃣Work on posture! Good posture helps strengthen your tummy muscles from front to back!
4️⃣Cut back on food that causes inflammation and bloating: dairy and gluten are a great place to start. You may not have a full blown intolerance but many of us still have some small inflammatory response to these good groups.
5️⃣Plank. Adding planks into your regular exercise routine is another great way to keep the core focus engaged and to build a strong core.
6️⃣Get on a probiotic. The right probiotic can actually convert food molecules to short chain fatty acids which control fat BURN, PREVENT fat storage, and will help cut down on that belly bloat. So here's the deal 😏 I post pictures of myself in hopes to make it somewhere in the fitness world and gain sponsorship. I work my a** off in the gym and outside the gym correcting my diet, and trying to learn new ways to be better. So I'll show off my body here and there if I feel like it. Because I'm proud of it and it's something that I worked at. I had an image in my mind of how i wanted to look, and I achieved it. Fitness is a massive part of my life. So if you get the wrong impression of me because of a picture on Instagram, well that's really not my problem, is it. 😜 I know who I am and what I have to offer. So you can judge me for the person that you think I am based on some instagram pictures. I'm now cool with that. Nothing but love fam 😘

. I won’t lie…once upon a time, I thought crunches were key to abs. I believed finding the right exercise would give me abs. I read about the people who did hundreds of crunches everyday.
I never got through day one of those programs.
Needless to say, I struggled to find a six pack from age 14 to age 23. But all my failures and mistakes have led me to the real keys.
Instead, I can predictably get a six pack by decreasing calories.
If you have more bodyfat, it’ll take you longer, but the process doesn’t change.
Let me emphasize this: NO exercise will give you a six pack.
Exercise CAN build a bigger set of abs. But they will still hide out until the fat goes away. .
Squats, deadlifts, presses, farmer carries will always dominate as the best ab exercises. They will get your abs nice and strong. Yes, accessories benefit you but…they’re accessories. You need the strong foundation first. And that comes from squats, deadlifts, presses, and farmer carries.
If you want year-round abs with little effort, it doesn’t exist. At least not in the short term. Lift 3-4 times a week for a long time so that your abs become impressive. Then decrease bodyfat and boom, abs.
