Totally forgot to post this yesterday! Probably because I was feeling a little bit like a rock star ⭐🌟⭐ and was busy plotting my next venture lol
I finished my 6 week challenge! I didn't lose as much weight as I hoped, but that's my own fault - I stress ate a lot for a couple weeks with Zach leaving. But ya know what? That's ok! This is a journey and those few pounds are just some speed bumps on this path I'm on :) The scale is just one measure of success, not the be all, end all. So many other changes occurred over these 6 weeks. For one, my clothes are all really lose and I can see a difference in my face and waist. Others are starting to notice too. For another, I am so much stronger than I was at the start. I wouldn't say things are getting easier, but I can do more than I could in the beginning. I can run farther, jump rope a hell of a lot better, and do more squats and situps. Burpees still suck but I'm even getting better at them LOL.
I am notorious for starting things and not finishing them, so I think the thing I am most proud of is that fact that I DIDN'T quit this. Especially after Zach left, because honestly I had doubts that I'd keep going.
The 6 week challenge may be over, but my time at the gym is not. Somewhere over the past 6 weeks I started to enjoy torturing myself 3x a week. I like the feeling of being sore, knowing it's making me stronger and healthier. I love the community there, the support and encouragement from the trainers and other members is something I've never found at another gym. I like leaving there a sweaty mess. And I like it when I find myself being able to do more and more. Because of all that I decided to keep going and I joined as a member yesterday! I'm going to keep this up, this journey is far from over 👊
