Day 2 in Iceland: Snorkelling in Silfra. 45 minutes in 2°C water, 100+ metres of visibility, and a hood that smooshed my face, this was unreal! I did other stuff this day as well, but there's gonna be quite a few posts from Iceland.. #culture#snorkelling#silfra#soverycold#iceland#þingvellir
Freezing waters? Snow problem! Silfra is a fissure between the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates and is the only place in the world where you can dive and snorkel directly in the crack between the two plates! #neverstoplearning#neverstopexploring
Hands down one of the best experiences of my life. Snorkelling between the American and Eurasian Tectonic plates in the Silfra rift 😍
On my birthday we snorkeled between the North American and Eurasian plates in the Silfra fissure in Iceland. The colors and clarity were incredible, and so worth the pain of 2 degree Celsius water. We chose wetsuits instead of drysuits to be able to free dive.
