side plank: dropping the bottom knee is a nice way to modify... lessening the weight that the grounded hand & arm above it are bearing. That's important if you're still building strength and not quite capable of keeping the shoulder integrated & safe. By "wrapping the tricep" towards the body you keep the head of the upper arm bone (humerus) snug into its shallow socket. By pulling the shoulder blade in toward the spine you help engage the muscles of the back of the shoulder (posterior deltoid). Those two actions are so important for shoulder safety anytime the hands are grounded and the arms are bearing any weight. The best tip is to practice it in easier, more modified poses so that it will be wired into your muscle memory when you go for more advanced postures. โœŒ๐Ÿผ
