Day 25/84 :
Utthita Parsvakonasana / Side Angle
Very often we come to this posture from Warrior two, I showed you yesterday. So let me explain how to make Side Plank from Warrior two.
1.Bring your front forearm on your right thigh or bring your hand to the mat if you are ready to do so.
2. Press away from your thigh to create more space and extend your neck.
3. Extend your left arm up and over.
4. If you want to go more deeper, lower your right hand to the floor down to the outside or inside of your right foot.
5. Then squeeze your knee and your bicep to make a vise grip.
6. To return to Warrior two, inhale and core strengthen, press your front foot into your mat and slowly come up to Warrior two.
There are some ways to do this posture, for example, you can put your right hand at inside of front foot, or you can bend your right elbow and put it on your front thigh. With any version, you will feel very nice stretch of the side of your body, which I really love. You also can use block under your hand. I like to do that way as well. .
BTW, I learned little more about Yoga history in the part of teacher training class last night, and that was fun! Also there are many ways to teach Yoga and all are unique :):):) .
Then, what I thought last night and today? I thought of the way I talk, and decided to use positive word because people only learn about me by hearing or listening what I explained.
One more thing: there was interesting thing this morning: Yesterday, I thought of being truth, who I am. you can read what I thought in my previous post if you want. Then this morning, I saw my MySore teacher @Erika Abrahamian's facebook and found by chance that @David Garrigues is talking about being truth in his post. He says in his writing, "Telling the truth, looking for the truth, and valuing the truth. Tell the truth even if it appears to cost you rather than reward you." I think it is pretty nice what he says. There is a word of "Satkara-Truth Maker" Do you want to become a Truth maker?
