There are some Bengali vegetarian dishes that you crave especially during the holidays. This is one of those big classics. Shukto. Despised when you’re a child, loved as an adult.
A melange of green bananas, bitter gourd, sweet potato, eggplant, potatoes, drumsticks (moringa), radish, flat beans and fried lentil dumplings cooked in milk and seasoned with yellow mustard seed paste, panchphoron, grated ginger and radhuni (crushed wild celery seeds).
