Bring on a new week of goals! 🙌🏼

What’s your Sunday routine? Is it a lazy day? Sunday funday!? Leg day?!

Shoulder day went down a treat despite the lack of carbs. Have to shorten workouts as reducing any risk of becoming catabolic. #hangingin

MAXIMUM MUSCLE GROWTH BY @musclemonsters
_
The overall consensus is that, as a natural trainee, you can expect to gain 40-50lbs of total muscle mass in your lifetime. According to Lyle McDonald, author of The Protein Book, we can expect to achieve half of that (20-25lbs) growth in the first 12 months. Alan Aragon, another expert in the field, suggested roughly the same thing—18-27lbs in your first year.
_
In his book The Max Muscle Plan, Brad Schoenfeld suggests that for a novice lifter to gain 15 pounds of muscle (or more) within the first six months is not unusual.
_
The further into your training you get, however, the less and less muscle you can expect to build from year to year. A realistic expectation would be to gain half the muscle you did in the previous year for the first 4-5 years. 20-25, 10-12, 5-6, 2-3, and so on.

“Both abundance and lack exist simultaneously in our lives, as parallel realities, but it is always our conscious choice which secret garden we tend to.
When we choose not to focus on what is missing from our lives but are grateful for the abundance that’s present — health, love, family, friends, work, the joys of nature and personal pursuits that bring us pleasure — the wasteland of illusion falls away and we experience Heaven on earth.” –Sarah Ban Breathnach
