WARNING: Long Emotional Post.
Most, if not all, of you know that about 6 months ago one of my best friends tragically died. When we were planning the funeral, I got in touch with Evan’s favorite band @citizenshade to see if they could play at the service. That night we talked on the phone and told me about a song they had just finished recording and had me listen to it. I cried like a baby. A few months later, I helped the band secure a location for the music video they were planning to shoot for the song. (Shoutout to @creightoncm for the hookup, love you man) Two days before the shoot, the band calls me and informs me that unfortunately their videographer had to back out, and they had already booked hotels, travel, and the location…. So they asked if I could shoot it. I immediately called the homie @hc_kevin_ and, of course, he was down to help. Two days later, we spent all day in a church filming. (Shoutout to @prestongoes and @garrett_lobaugh for the help) I spent many sleepless nights editing and re-editing this video with tears in my eyes, in hope to create something my friend Evan would be proud of. If I’m being honest, I don’t think I’m worthy to try and create something in honor of my friend, but I tried my best, and I absolutely couldn’t have done it without the help of @hc_kevin_ . He is an amazing Videographer and person. Thank you @citizenshade for writing this song that has helped me through some of the hardest times of my life. I hope that this song and video can help you remember those that were taken too soon. Those you wish you could have just one more beer, one more laugh, and one more hour with. Miss you Evan. Hope you like it. Link in Bio
