Estate sale score of the week, a 19-teens to 1920s American Fixture Co machine lamp (task lamp, bench lamp whatever) super rare. I have to find a shade and rewire it but I'll have it for the September Brimfield. I went to this estate sale spefically because I saw it balled up in the corner of one of the online photos on @estatesales_org glad I was one of the first ones there.
This is the base of my newly acquired vintage or #antique lamp! I got this bad boy for A STEAL at a garage sale near my grandparents' old place. It is embossed "Black Mfg. Co." The shape and color of it drew me in and I just had to refinish it. Threw some high heat flat black paint on it (that way the paint on the inside of the shade wouldn't degrade), cleaned up the base the best I could without disturbing the original red paint, and BAM best $6 I've spent in a while. After the cost of a can of paint haha.
