In my previous post, we talked about the different shoe parts and how understanding them helps you in knowing your shoe styles better. Today we will be talking about the OXFORD aka the Balmoral which is often referred to as the most elegant type of men's shoe.
What makes an Oxford shoe is the 👉Closed lacing system, 👉The vamps i.e the front of the shoe, 👉Quarters which is the part of the shoe that meet the vamp in the middle (the back of the shoe),👉Exposed ankle, 👉Low heeled.
We have about 5 different types of the Oxfords which are:
💡(1 )The PLAIN OXFORD: basically consists of the quarter and the vamp.This style is simple yet elegant; black is the number one choice for evening shoes, and patent leather for black tie and white tie.In my subsequent post, we will be talking more about the other types of the OXFORD shoes.
