Creatine in Exercise
Promoted often as a muscle performance enhancer, there is some science evidence that confirms this works for some athletes with supplementation, BUT NOT ALL.
Claims have been highly escalated that this works for athletes wanting to grow and fast repair muscle. That isn't true.
Where claims have shown some success is offering short-term limited benefits, mostly in brief intermittent, high-intensity exercise.
Why many people continue to take creatine is because long-term harmful effects are either none or yet to be determined.
It only helps with certain activities/athletes. Specifically the difference often lies between aerobic vs anaerobic athletes, as their muscles train much differently, reflecting in their fast or slow twitch muscle fibers, ATP production/usage, and thus an athletes type of speed/force.
Endurance athletes have limited evidence to prove creatine has much use.
