Seeing these two images side by side makes me really emotional?? Jotaro seems to have had a relatively happy childhood (except for the fact his dad was probably hardly ever around), but Kak lived a lonely life with no one to call a friend before he met Jotaro and the others. And considering this, it's interesting how they grew up to outwardly be opposites of their childhood selves. Jotaro hardly ever smiles as a teenager, he doesn't make jokes, he's rude, he isn't loving or friendly towards anyone. Kakyoin seems pretty friendly and polite, he has funny moments, he smiles and laughs throughout the journey. Looking at their childhoods and their teenage years, it is evident how much both of them have matured. Jotaro is still a good person at heart, he's developed a moral code, and he protects the people he loves. Kakyoin is still somewhat withdrawn perhaps, but he gets the opportunity to feel what it's like to have friends, and that is his motivation to overcome his weaknesses and face Dio without fear.
You can't look at me and tell me this dynamic doesn't work. I love both of these characters and I will go down with this ship.
Anyone who read all my rambling must have the patience of a God.
