#day26 — Today, on your momma’s birthday (thinking peaceful, loving thoughts of you Tonie), I am keeping you (and Alex and Cole too) in my heart. This day is dedicated to you, because in the three years I took care of you Ry, you taught me more about tenacity, love, strength, and hard work than anyone else. Alex showed me that I wanted to be a mother someday, and you, Ryan James, are the one I think of every time I think I can’t do something at work or in life. Being autistic and paralyzed never stopped the joy from beaming from your face. For three years I cathed you every 4 to 6 hours, every single day, I did your bowel care, PT and OT appointments and practices were done by me, I was in charge of your meds, including your osteoporosis medication (which was a giant pain in the dick for both of us), and let us not forget how many times you’d dance to SexyBack while doing pressure relief for two minutes every two hours in your chair. Ryan if your brother made me a mother, you made me a Super mom and started me in the direction of being a (someday) Nurse. I love and miss you and Alex so much. This day is dedicated to you two. .
