Hi! so my friends and I went to Bali a few weeks ago, and I'm feeling like sharing our adventure and about INLA now😆
We were greeted by a firefly in our balcony on the first day we arrived in Ubud, and it was our first time seeing a firefly too! I was so excited so I jumped and sang and laughed around really loud the whole time, actually I kinda feel bad about it now that I realized Ubud is so quiet and peaceful, at least in the area I was staying at. We had a difficulty regarding transportation because none of us could ride motorbike and online transportation has not been fully accepted yet by the locals, but we managed it somehow and with some help from a kind soul we met from an online transportation app that we used, he also introduced us to the 9Angels restaurant and community.
I wanted to stay longer in Ubud, I loved it there, the air was really fresh and nothing went against any of our activities 😂, but we had to leave for Kuta. And woah daebak, it rained every time we went to Kuta beach, like every time 😬 and many unpleasant incidents happened to my friends, though some were really amusing to me, like watching them being chased by a flock of dogs 😂 I tried to save them but they already decided to fall on the sand before I could even move my feet 😛 sorry guys 😘
So in Kuta we didn't really know where to go except to the beach and an ice cream place. On Nov 12, we planned to visit Maha Vihara, get our ice cream, and hope it wouldn't rain again so we could go the beach for the sunset. When we got to Maha Vihara, I was informed that there was going to be INLA (The International Nature Loving Association) Festival in Denpasar. A little bit about INLA, it's a registered non-profit organization that advocates the valued concepts of "Environmental Ethics, Life, Health, Humanity and Civility", so that people can enhance to live in harmony with one another and respect, love and care for others like a big warm family. They encourage youth to participate in "nature loving and cultural" activities such as singing nature songs, performing nature music, dance, and drama.
