Currently, there are 22 cats at our shelter, while 2 cats are treated at Happy Petty Clinic Semarang. The spay fee in Semarang was 1000K ($77 USD) and neuter was 500K ($38.5 USD) according to Semarang veterinary union standard.
Every day, approximately 35 stray cats are feeding twice in the morning and night. We spent 1,5 kg/day of cat food in shelter. For stray cats we spent 3-4 kg/day of dry food and 2 cans/day of wet food for stray and sometimes we spent 15 boiled fish in one feeding.
For a month, we set the fund around 10 millions rupiah ($769,2 USD) until 12 millions rupiah ($923 USD) rupiah beyond the vet expenses.
Now, we still have debt in clinic. I am a worker, I’ve been tried to cover all the shelter expenses, including rent, electricity, water, community and garbage dues, salary for pak suad (who helped us to clean the shelter), cat sand, etc.
However, I can’t cover the spay and neuter fee, to treat the scabies, and other wound in our stray cat colony which is beyond of my ability. I rent the house just for amcat’s members, not for myself.
Overall, I take care of both of amcat’s members and stray cat colony by myself.
It’s the reason why I can’t handle all of the report. And yes, I do it all alone.
For anyone who want to help us and suppress the cats overpopulation in our neighborhood can send the donation through our paypal account email@example.com or our local bank (detail via DM).
