Fariduddin Masud Chishti ر affectionately known as #BabaSaheb #SheikhFarid or #BabaFarid, a 12th-century Sufi Master & saint of the #Chishti Order of #Pakistan, South Asia. Born at Kothiwal village, 10 km from Multan ( Pakistan ) to Jamaluddin Suleiman ر and Maryam Bibi ر . He is one of the greatly revered Spiritual Master of the Chishti Order. His Grand Master is the Master of all Masters, Sayed Muinudin Chishti aka as #GharibNawaz in the #unbrokenlink of illumined hearts to the Prophet Muhammad ‎ﷺ‎‬‎ thus to the Source of Illumination, God Almighty. Baba Saheb is generally recognized as the first major poet of the Punjabi language and is considered one of the greatest saints of the Punjab. This illumined heart splashed some light on us to understand the circumstances when he spoke to a crow in a weaker physical state of yearning to get closer to God.he was so weak that the crows wanted to peck his flesh. His condition of harmony with the creation and longing to Behold God is reflected in this poem whe he addressed the crow. "kaga sab tan khaiyo mera / chun chun khayiyo mass
do naina mat khayiyo / mohe piya milan ki aas"
O Crow , eat my entire body choosing to start from where you please . But I humbly request you not eat my eyes as I pray to behold our God.

**Birds of Sikhi** Raven = ਕਾਗ kaag / ਕਾਗਾ kaagaa / ਕਾਗਉ kaagao

The raven appears in one of the most iconic paintings we've seen of Sheikh Fareed ji: http://www.sikh-history.com/sikhhist/images/portraits/bfarid.jpg. The painting is about these two shabads: https://www.sikhitothemax.org/shabad?id=5299&q and https://www.sikhitothemax.org/shabad?id=5300&q In the painting the raven is representing death. Sheikh Fareed ji gestures to the raven not to eat his eyes. Can you see the beautiful metaphor painted in Gurbani when you understand the kaag (raven) to be death?
As we get older, like Sheikh Fareed ji's condition in the shabad above, death starts to take hold of parts of our body through sickness and fatigue. Guru ji strongly advises us while were still young and able, to give up this body to Vahiguru. There is no better time then NOW to partake in seva and perform good actions. https://www.sikhitothemax.org/shabad?id=70&q
