Deloading this week, my body needs it . it feels like a train ran over my body, backed up and then ran it over again. Really needed this week to let all the little minor issues heal, and work on mobility. Today i went up to 545 for 2x1, felt easy and was a nice break for my legs and back. Then dropped it to 225 with 420 pounds of band tension. @thexbands (will have a code tonight for everyone to use, DISCOUNT), i used the blue and green bands. Also, im getting a coach to get me right going into the la fit expo. Great bench day, used @thexbands1 dead bands as well as chains. Top sets with bands was 283x5 with 65 pounds of tension. Ssb today. Top set was 500 for 5 and two drop down sets at 467 for 4. Overall a great squat day. Another PR, finally feeling very confident in my deadlifts. Today I hit 635x3 as my top set. Everything is coming together perfectly. Big numbers are to come! I'm so pleased with this peak! Accessories today were 5x1 with 495 and 172 pounds of band tension, used the purple and red @thexbands this is the first time I've been confident with my deadlift going into a competition. So happy with my progress so far. Wore my homies @savagepowerlifting_ shirt today. Nothing crazy today, just working on speed and explosion throughout the entire lift. Today's workout was 3x5 @315, then banded bench 225x4 275x3s,4r, then close grip for speed. Deadlifts went fantastic today for all but one... I hit 622x1 for my top set. Cameron @cameronmarzvaan on the other hand ended in the ER with a fracture toe, maybe more, he has to go to a fracture specialist tomorrow to see what happened. A shoe company should make sumo deadlift shoes with a steel toe in them to protect the foot(business idea). #sumoischeating #sumo=toes. I think the weight is lighter in Vegas. Today's top sets were 560x3(shown), 595x3, 630x3(2nd video), 595x3, 595x3. Everything is feeling so light! I think 700 will come easy in august, I'm going to raise my goal up to 722-730. 11 weeks of hard training until the fit expo, 12 weeks out. First squat day of the new block. Sets were 422x5, 487x4, 552 for 5 sets of 3. Then accessories were 4x4 on ssb with 3 plates (have no clue what that bar weighs). Finished the entire workout after warm ups in 35 minutes. Working on keeping tight this week for deadlifts. 3x5 at 475, then 3x5 with 130 pounds of bands at 335, then some accessories, such as the SSB Good mornings, these are killer. First time trying them, and I love them, I can definitely see how they will make my squats and deadlifts explode. Warmed up to 585x1 for a quick easy rep. Then did 635 for 3x3 with reverse bands. The next exercise was box squats on a short box 12", 405 for 3x6, the last squat accessories was front squats 4x8 at 225 (paused). These bands are kicking my a$$! They add a house to the bar halfway up every time. 15 weeks out, 700 is the goal, and I will conquer it! Today's agenda was 512x5, 565x5, 608xfailure(I wish I would've pushed myself and hit 5, looking at the video I know I had a few more in the tank). Then 12 inch box squats, these are extremely low, and stretch the quads out real nice. 405 4x5, 455 2x2, 495x1. First video, 8 total reps with 405, but first two reps, had 360 pounds of band tension at the top, then the next had 120 pounds, then 50, then 405 straight. Trying to improve my speed and explosive power on my deadlifts. So much went wrong on my top set today, which was 625x2. Could've been so much smoother. But anyways some progress is better than none. I woke up light today, at 213.9. My top sets today were 515x3, 555x2, 590x2, 625x2. Next week will be the test to see if I have improved my squat. I will attempt my 1 rep max for failure.
