Claying up a storm! Wobbly legged pots, bears, dogs, cats, birds and fish. I hope I will be doing an update around the end of May. (No promises though;) Great weekend everybody! Im going to make these girls some more friends!🌞
I'm so pleased with my new slipped and carved range of pieces that I decided to extend it to planters. These lovely little succulents are always popular at markets, so I will have a few of these with me next Saturday for the @craftyfoxmarket at the Oval Space in Bethnal Green.
I haven't worked with orange in awhile so I'm bringing back my monarch butterfly design! •
Monarch butterflies transform through four stages of a life cycle and four generations of them are born within one year. The first generation lays their eggs on milkweed plants in early spring. The eggs with hatch and the caterpillar will spend the next two weeks eating and growing before transforming into a chrysalis. That stage will take ten days before the butterfly emerges. The butterfly will only live about two to six weeks before laying eggs for the second generation and then die. •
I've managed to sneak down to the shed this morning to get some glazing done. First up are these carved plates. The blue will turn a deep navy once fired. I just need them to not warp!! Stay flat... please stay flat!
