I have lots to learn for this cake. In fact, I had many “firsts”. 1. First time baking a matcha sponge cake.
2. First time whipping a batch of Milard gold whipped cream.
3. First time using left over red bean paste for the in the middle as well as on top of the cake.
4. First time no sifting the matcha powder before mixing it in the whipped cream (That’s lazy and bad mistake). To be honest I love making and eating rich butter cakes with buttercream but I guess I gotta give sponge cake and whipped cream a try.

I have many things I will need to improve but a very photogenic cake nonetheless. 😄
