Flying warrior pose. This was one of my “dream poses” when I started yoga but I knew it was an advanced pose so I only started to give the half version a try about 1.5years after regular practice. I needed an infinity strap for it. Some days, my right side feels more opened and some days, I just can’t ease into this. I can’t hold it for long either so there’s a lot of WIP for this strong but beautiful pose..
This pose has taught me patience, endurance and humility. Patience to give the body time to slowly open up and be ready, endurance to not rush and let things be because it takes me awhile to get flexible. And dropping my ego and accepting that I may not always be able to execute this..
Progress has been minimal for the last 6 months or so, but I’m confident it will get better soon. Meanwhile, I had problems with the right side but the left, with minimal warmup, I managed to sort of execute it so 🙌🏻 progress.
