When drizzle with their house-made Red Wine Bordois, I went: "Daaaaang! Easily the best Steak I've had". Surpassing their standards will be a feat. While we were given complimentary Mustard dips, I felt the Red Wine Bordois teases the beef flavour even more 😋. .
I read that the steaks are expertly seasoned and grilled over charcoal, and finished off under a 1200 degree broiler to achieve this amazing texture. Their Michelin Star is NOT a fad. .
80% of what we ordered were spot-on like the complimentary dessert 😱 & Braised Baby Artichoke Salad [$26]. It's a wonderful find — coming from a person who adores artichoke, but rarely sees it being offered at restaurants. It is the leading star in this dish, fleshed out in its full glory! .
Our delight, however, didn't extend to the Truffle tagliatelle [$75] that we were encouraged to order. Made from fresh black truffles from Australia, us truffle lovers may not be used to the subtle flavour of genuine truffles.
Gotta admit that we've been too spoiled by truffle oil with chemicals added in. 🙈 .
