🥥 Coconut oil!!! Coconut oil can be used for cooking, skin care, hair care, dry lips, etc. But did you know it's also a great sexual lubricant? It smells great, is more lubricating than water based lube, stays slippery for a long long time and feels amazing. It's also great for massages before, during and after sex. Warm your oil before use for a lovely warm, soft and easy application.
Is it safe to use coconut oil for sex?
Firstly, make sure you use unrefined pure virgin coconut oil without any other added ingredients. Unlike other lubes, coconut oil is all natural and doesn't contain any preservatives or added ingredients that can cause adverse reactions in people with allergies.
Secondly, don't use oils in combination with condoms! The oil can break down latex, so using oil is not safe when you're using condoms. Also, be careful with oil and your toys.
Generally, some people say that anything that's safe to eat is also safe for your genitals. Others are a bit more cautious pointing at the pH of the vagina. The vagina has a pretty delicate bacterial balance and theoretically coconut oil may disrupt that balance. Coconut oil has also been shown to be antifungal in other regions, so others say it protects against yeast infections. There is no scientific research or clinical knowledge (yet) about coconut oil and vaginas. Every person is different so best is just to try it and see if it works for you!
