My favorite mountain is the one behind me in this photo. Her name is Mount Alice. 💙She’s the tallest mountain where I live in Seward, Alaska.
I look at her every single day and watch how she changes with the seasons. From blankets of white snow to green abundant grass. She has this elegant way of playing with light, sometimes she’s pink other times golden. ❄️I’ve learned a lot from this mountain... I’ve looked at her with tears streaming down my face and I’ve looked at her in pure bliss & joy. She teaches me to be strong, wise, and unshakable. ❄️I’ve climbed her in the wintry snow and I’ve climbed her on a warm summer day... and each time I spread my arms wide and think about how strong I have become... how I once thought climbing any mountain was so far from my reality. ❄️ Alaska has taught me to be a better woman. It challenges me in the best way possible and it is often difficult. I live without the everyday conveniences of life... I trade all of it to be able to climb this mountain... to look at her in all her glory each new day and remember what a crazy, beautiful world we live in. 🌍 Today I am grateful for Alaska! 🙏
