My friends and clients know I always keep it real and 💯 with y’all. This has been nearly 8 years in the making. I just started and never stopped ever since I signed up for the YMCA back in 2010 after high school.

1️⃣. Actually build muscle through many, many YEARS of progressively lifting heavier with compound movements (squats, bench, overhead press, deadlift, dips, and pulls ups) while eating in a calorie surplus with sufficient protein intake. Ask yourself, “am I actually getting better and stronger each and every year❔🤔”

2️⃣. Once you have enough actual muscle mass, get in a calorie deficit (consume less than you expend). This is the👏🏽NUMBER ONE RULE AND LAW👏🏽 for losing weight and fat. If this is not in place, you will NEVER lose weight and fat. Anyone can lose fat, you are not unique and immune to the laws of thermodynamics.

3️⃣. Consume adequate protein while still lifting heavy and training the same while in a calorie deficit. This helps you maintain your muscle as you drop fat. The best transformation is about maximal fat loss along with maximal muscle retention 👌🏽

4️⃣. Actually be consistent for weeks and months (this is the hard part). Reap the rewards. Long term consistency will always triumph over short term intensity.

More #serratus #activation work from my away gym here in Osage Beach. I’m reconstructing my press form and my brace needs to be better. Corrective exercises and mobility work for 30 min this morning. Did some light pressing afterwards with some lat work to finish. Ample rest between sets. Not here to wreck myself anymore. I’m here to improve.



Spoke with @thefourthprov for some time yesterday about corrective exercise. If the joint is not able to achieve full range of motion, the muscle will never achieve full recruitment. Long story short, if you wanna look nice, you gotta move your joints WELL. •


I thank God I’ve had to deal with so much joint pain in my life. If I hadn’t had to deal with problems of my own, I wouldn’t be able to help my clients solve their problems as effectively as I do.
