At 2am, I unveiled this timeless classic. A traditional dessert that I have not made in 20years or even more! As the saying goes, it's just like riding a bicycle, it just comes to you. I had a fun time making mistakes (while the usual trying to super multitask). This is a traditional Malay Kueh - Puteri Salat (don't ask me why it's called this 😜) or Kueh Serimuka (glowing face kueh 😂). Bottom layer is made with steamed glutinous rice (seasoned with coconut cream and salt to taste). Top layer is a pandan (screwpine leaves) custard. Yes, us South East Asian folks love our pandan desserts. I will pass out the recipe once I succeed to tweak a few ingredients and steps.
